Dear Jim,
Walter was my classmate in St. Pancras (correct spelling) elementary school in Glendale, ( Queens) New York. I believe Glendale has been changed to a Flushing post office and may not exist as a town by that name, although the school has a web site. We graduated in 1956, (Yikes, time flies.) I did not know Walter very well. He always hung out with a bunch of the boys. He was somewhat of a class clown, and I remember feeling very sad when he died because he had been one of the ones who provided comic relief in the classroom. I found the Wall USA page and have found it to be amazing, and saw your email looking for info there. May God richly bless you and your friend as you continue your amazing work of remembering those who gave all.
Kind regards,
Margie (Lay)
