Corporal Brockmeyer was a member of my platoon on the evening of 3 Jun 68. I was positioned about 10 meters to his left at the time of his death. I was a lieutenant with Co. C, 1/35th. Corporal Brockmeyer was, like every man I knew in that unit, a brave soldier.

Delbert is buried in the West Point Lutheran Church cemetery between Ava and Sparta, IL. The grave is in SW corner.
