The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, 2LT Glenn Randall Eisenhour, who died in the service of his country on November 13th, 1967 in Quang Tin Province, Vietnam. The cause of death was listed as Recoilless Rifle Fire, Securing Downed Chopper. At the time of his death Glenn was 21 years of age. He was from Belleville, Illinois. Glenn is honored on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Panel 29E, Line 88.

The decorations earned by 2LT Glenn Randall Eisenhour include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star with V, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Unit Citation.

The parents of Army 2nd Lt. Randy Eisenhour, 21, Belleville, were notified Thursday that he was killed Monday near Da Nang, Vietnam. Mr. And Mrs. Dean Eisenhour had been notified earlier that their son was missing in action.

Services are pending in the State Street Methodist Church, East St Louis, with burial in Lake View Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Fox will officiate. Holten Funeral Home has charge.

Lt. Eisenhour enlisted in the Army in February 1966, and was commissioned as an officer Feb. 8, 1967. He had served in Vietnam since August 20th.

He was born in Tulsa, OK. And lived 20 years in Metro-East.

Lt. Eisenhour was a 1964 graduate of East St. Louis Senior High School. He was a star quarterback on the school football team in 1962-63. He was the area champion in passing his senior year. He also was a catcher on the school baseball team, and played with the Khoury League, American Legion of East St. Louis, Ban Johnson League, and the Intercity League. He received letters in baseball his freshman year at Illinois State University.

Survivors are his parents; two sisters Carol, 20, and Jeri Lee, 16, and two brothers; David 18, and Michael 9.
